Biography


Born on 1552/1553 in East Smithfield, London.
Education in London - Merchant Taylor’s school and Pembroke College, Cambridge(sizar).
Received £50 a year pension from Queen Elizabeth 1.
Went to Ireland in 1580.
Joined the English forces during Second Desmond Rebellion.
Among the colleague is Walter Raleigh.
He visited in Raleigh’s company to deliver his most famous work, The Faerie Queene.
However, he boldly antagonized the queen’s principal secretary, Lord Burghley.
